Q: How many beds?
A: There are 8 beds. One king-size in the mbr, 1 queen-size in the guest bedroom, and 4 doubles (the kid's room has double-sized bunk beds (the lower bunk is futon-style), 2 pull-out double couches--one in the loft and one in the sectional in the A-frame).
Q: Are the beds comfortable?
A: Most of the beds are brand new as of 2005. However, the pull-out in the loft has got some age on it...and unfortunately, it shows when you sleep on it (we've done it when letting grandparents have the mbr). It sleeps better if you take the pull-out mattress out and put it on the floor.
Q: Where can you swim?
A: In the lake! The house is not lake front, but sits perched on a hill overlooking the lake and mountains affording the really great views. Nearby Harry DeHaven Park has a swim area with incredible views overlooking the Cliffs of Claytor Lake. But probably the best choice is a beautiful sandy beach located at Claytor Lake State Park which is either a pleasant boat ride from the house or a bit longer car-drive to the Park (15-20 minutes). If you drive your boat to the park, you can moor up at the State Park's Marina. Fees may apply to moor your boat depending upon how busy the Park is. There is a $3 fee per person to use the beach. Harry DeHaven Park, however, is gratis--care of Pulaski County.
Q: Does the house have a grill?
A: Yes.
Q: What kind of a grill is it?
A: Gas.
Q: Will there be gas in the grill's tank?"
A: Yes. It is automatically refilled by Southwest Gas once a month.
Q: Is it a fancy grill?
A: It's not bad.
Q: Do you like grilling on it?
A: Yes.
Q: How many burners does it have?
A: Three.
Q: Does it have an automatic lighter?
A: Yes.
Q: Okay, enough about the grill, what about the barbeque tools?
A: They're located in the kitchen drawer nearest the grill, second from the top.
